Hello Year 3, we hope you had a wonderful 2 week half term and are ready to get stuck in to your final half term in Turquoise an Jasper class. Please see below some key information below, including our weekly spelling and timestables rota, our half termly overview and our weekly timetable. 

 

Remember to continue to regularly practise your spellings and timestables at home using the links provided to help you.

 

 

Spellings Check

We will be revisiting Year 2 spellings as well as completing the Year 3 spellings this year. We have a spelling quiz every Thursday. Please have a look at the PDFs for reference.

Times table check

Please remember to practise your times tables either by using Maths Frame times table check or using TT Rockstars. Why not have a go at Hit the Button?

Summer 1 

 

Hi Year 3, welcome to the Summer term! We hope you had a restful Easter break and are ready for the term ahead. Below, you will find documents relevant to this term's teaching. We have included our 10 day remote learning grid, a spelling and times tables rota which is in line with our teaching in school, and a half termly overview which covers all subjects being taught in Summer 1.

Welcome Year 3 to your Spring 2 learning page. We are so excited to have you back in the classroom again. Please see below the information needed for this half term. You will see a parent overview which outlines all the subjects being taught, a rota for spellings and times tables which shows which ones will be in our quizzes each week and a 10 day isolation remote learning grid. We have also provided links for you to help with practising your spellings and times tables at home.

Happy New Year Year 3! We hope you had an enjoyable and restful Christmas break and are ready for the term ahead.

 

Please see below our new spellings and times tables rota. It gives a breakdown of what spellings/ times tables we will be covering each week, so you can practise these at home too. Secondly, please see attached our Spring 1 overview. This shows all the topics we are covering in this part of the term.

Remote Learning 19th and 20th November

Remote learning 

 

Good morning everybody. We hope you are all well. Below we will be posting daily videos for the pupils to use to complete their learning. We will also provide some PDF documents with documents included on the flipcharts so you have a clearer  version if needed. You will not need to print these PDFs to complete the learning.

 

To complete the learning, you will need to watch the videos and follow the tasks as the video goes on. You are able to pause, play and rewind the videos too, so if there is anything you need repeating or want to go through again, you can go back and listen again. If there is anything that is unclear or the videos are not working, please do not hesitate to let us know. 

 

You do not need to complete the 10 remote learning grid in addition to the videos. Apologies for the confusion around this. 

 

Please can we remind you to check in with us daily and to let us know how you are getting on with the learning.

Welcome Year 3

 

We hope you had a lovely summer and we can't wait to see you on Monday!

To help you settle in to the new academic year, we have created a short welcome video for you to watch. You will find this video on the Video Resource Centre or click the link below.

 

To help us to get to know you, we would like you to think about 2 things that you want us to know about you. This could be hobbies, any hidden talents, favourite books or anything you like to do in your spare time. When you come in on Moday, we can share and learn all about each other.

Important Information

As part of our learning, we will be doing our planet spelling quiz every Thursday's. So make sure you practise!

Times Table check 

As part of our weekly times table check which take place every Thursdays, we will be using Maths Frame to help the pupils practise their knowledge and fluency of timestable. Please use the link to see all of the times table or use Maths Frame to practise. 

 

This half term we will be revisiting the x2, x5 and x10 timestables.
