Reading
Remember to read every day and it's great to share reading with other family members.
Think about different types of reading material, for example; books, magazines, food packets, instructions for games, websites, to name a few.

Don't forget to learn your Galaxy of Spelling, Common Exception Words and ask someone to test you.

Thursday Basic Skills
Place value focus. Roll 2 dice. Make the biggest/smallest 2-digit number you can e.g. if you roll a 3 and 5 you would make 35 and 53.
Thursday Focus: Can I interpret pictograms?
Basic Skills Wednesday
Counting in threes. Find something in your house that there is a lot of eg Lego bricks, books in your bedroom, teddies. Group them in 3s and count how many there are.
Wednesday Focus: Can I make a pictogram using given data?
Basic skills Tuesday
Times tables aerobics. Remember to use the videos to help.
Tuesday Focus: Can I draw a pictogram?
Basic Skill Monday - there is a video to demonstrate the game
Throwing and catching. Start at 45. Throw and the catch the ball with a partner and count forwards from the starting number. When the ball is dropped work out how many you counted on. Choose your own starting numbers and play again.
