SUMMER TERM 2021

We were so happy to welcome back our BASC pupils on March 8th once schools reopened again.

Our Vine Breakfast Club runs every day from 7:30am till 8:30am.  It’s a safe and social environment where the children are served breakfast and have the opportunity to be supported with reading, basic skills and home learning.

Our After School Club runs from 3pm till 6pm every day.

Here’s what some of our ‘customers’ have to say:

“I like all the art activities, especially painting and drawing.”

“There is so much to choose from. I like the range ASC offers from Basketball outside to quieter indoor projects.”

“I can be so productive!”

“I like the freedom to choose. I can also get my home learning done.”

“There is always as adult to help and support you.”

“You can make lots of new friends!”

“We get to eat healthy, tasty snacks.”

“BEST AFTER SCHOOL CLUB EVER!”

After school club is well resourced and offers many activities supporting different areas of the curriculum including PE, Arts and Design and PSHCE. As well as having access to many resources, our dedicated staff use this time to also support English and Maths learning, including time given to complete home learning such as daily reading, learning spellings, opportunities to write and practise number fluency. As well as engaging in a variety of activities throughout their afternoon, the pupils have a snack time all together.

During the last academic year, we have been temporarily using our school hall to run our BASC provision due to Covid restrictions around the school. Next term, we will be moving to our exciting new home, which includes a brand, new lodge, our existing learning lodge on the Year ¾ playground, our Solar Dome as well as getting to play and learn in and around our school grounds.

We are also delighted to welcome Mrs Bell to the team on a Friday throughout the Summer term who will be running a gardening club for our BASC pupils.
