Welcome to Summer Term 2. 
We hope you are enjoying the sunshine. This half term, among other things, we will be exploring Shakespeare in English, finding out about Australia and thinking about how we have grown and changed since birth. In July we will be venturing to Cambridge to visit the Fitzwilliam Museum and go on a Maths treasure hunt.

Important Information
Reading Books
Reading books can be taken home daily and changed when read. Please share books with your child as often as possible - little and often is best. Please record at least 3 reading comments, on ability and understanding, in the reading record book. As Year 2 progresses we encourage all children to write their own comments.
The reading record books will be collected in on a Monday and sent home on a Tuesday.
Spellings
Spellings will be sent home on a Tuesday in spelling books and they will be tested on the following Monday. These will be the common exception words.
PE
Our PE days are Monday and Tuesday.
Please can you make sure your child has a correct named PE kit in a named bag in school. The bags will stay in school for the half term. Unlike last year the children will not have to come to school wearing their PE kit.
