In September 2022, the Diocese commissioned a SIAMS readiness visit from an external visitor, The Vine had 3 days notice of this visit. Dr Simon Hughes, has extensive experience of undertaking both Section 48 (SIAMS) and Section 5 and section 8 (OFSTED) inspections. Below are his findings:

At our school we meet the statement of entitlement by providing religious education for at least 7% of
curriculum time, each pupil receives at least:
38 hours per year of RE lessons
15 hours on whole school RE Vision days
10 hours guided reading religious texts/ stories
5 hours of RE educational visits
(RE home learning each half term).
