Every Tuesday, we will practise our times tables in the Times Tables Mountain Challenge. We will stick the results in the reading diary for you to review, so please remind your child to bring their reading diary for this day.
The levels progress as follows:

Mountain 2 (Kilimanjaro)
x3 x4 x8
Mountain 3 (Aconcagua)
x6 x9 x11
x2 x3 x4 x5 x6
Mountain 4 (Everest)
All times tables
Division and multiplication facts up to 12 x 12
Times tables should be practised daily at home. Lots of games can be found on the the websites www.topmarks.co.uk and www.timestables.co.uk.
This year, we have introduced a new reading system across the school called Accelerated Reader. This exciting way of reading allows your child to quiz on the books they have read using their unique log in. Once they have quizzed once in school, they can log in to their account and quiz at home using the link below.
If you have books at home or from the local library, you can check whether they are on the AR system and the reading level of the book using the following link: www.arbookfind.co.uk.
Your child should aim to read at least 5 times a week for 20-30 minutes.
For home learning this half term, we ask that your child completes at least 5 activities, due the week beginning 20th February, so that learning can be shared. The English, Maths and RE tasks are compulsory, but your child may choose any combination of the remaining activities.
We can't wait to see how you get on!
