WEEK COMMENCING MONDAY 18th MAY

BOOK WEEK

Good morning Year 5.

Please find below your English and maths learning for the week as well as the foundation subjects. This week is Book Week so a lot of the activities on the foundation subjects grid are focused on this.

From Mr Bright:

Dear Year 5,

Sadly, today is my last day at the Vine. I am very sorry to be leaving and will miss you all. You have been a truly splendid year group and I have really enjoyed teaching you. You have made the classroom such a wonderful, adventurous, intriguing, astonishing, hilarious (and sometimes, quite frankly, totally bonkers!) place to work and I loved every minute of it.

I have been very pleased with your willingness to challenge yourselves in your writing this year and so impressed to see so many of you continue you to do so whilst you are working from home. The stories you have sent in have been a real pleasure to read. Thank you very much!

Despite things being uncertain at the moment, I am hoping to pop back into school when it opens so that we can say a proper goodbye. In the meantime, I wish you all the very best and hope you have a happy and restful half-term.

Cheerio!

Mr Bright

UPDATE

Thank you all very much for all the amazing messages, cards and videos you have been sending. They're all splendid! You've made a very sad day an incredibly happy one!

Chapter 15 and 16 of Emil and the Detectives is now available for you to view. Enjoy!
To help you with your maths learning today, please look at the tutorials from the last two days. Thank you. Enjoy your day!

Today, you will be editing your free-writing.

Please read the success criteria above and use the vocabulary help sheets if necessary.

We would encourage you to quickly go through the PowerPoints and revise the learning about living things before beginning the assessment.
