Now you have a good understanding of doubling, I have made some problems for you. It is important that you draw pictures to help you work out the answer. Can you explain the answer and how you know? Use your reasoning skills to explain your answer.

Focus: Can you form your letters correctly?

Watch the video of Mrs Grimshaw writing the letters.

Copy the letters to show us that you can form these letters correctly.

Don't worry if you make mistakes, just give them ago. Then we will know which ones to help you with.

Upload them onto tapestry once you're done.

Draw a picture and write what happens with your ending.

Focus- special friends through alien words

Today, I would like you to focus on alien words. These are words which are not real and really focuses the children on the sounds they are hearing and seeing.

Phonics play has a lot of games with alien words.

Focus: Can you double amounts?

This week in Maths we are focusing on doubling. We did some doubling at school before Easter, let’s see if you can remember! Watch Mrs Westwood's doubles video and talk about how when we double we have 2 groups. Remember the number has to be the same in each group. Can you complete the worksheet below?

Can you write down what you think the meaning (special message) in the story is?

We would really like to see some more fantastic drawings from the story too.

Challenge: - Write a message to the Kangaroo.

Focus- Can you read the words using your special friend knowledge?

Have a look on the video for a special scavenger hunt! Miss Gray is setting you a challenge! Can you collect or draw all the objects on her list. If you would like to set your friends the challenge as well, write a list of your own and see if they can do it. Please make sure you put all the work on tapestry.
