This week is national Anti-Bullying Week and the theme this year is 'Change starts with us'. We have been thinking about how small changes by everyone can make a big difference and make our school a safe and happy community to be in. This reminds us of our school prayer which says: Let us remember that as many hands build a house, so many hearts create a school. During the week everyone will be writing a personal pledge of what they will do to make a difference.
This afternoon pupils in KS2 watched the Anti-Bullying Show which was based on Tolkien's 'The Hobbit'. The show highlighted that bullying comes in different forms including indirect and online. It was an entertaining afternoon which also explored strategies for responding to bullying if it occurs, as well as how we can all help to prevent it.
