  Today in Year 1 we went hunting for signs of Autumn. We found deciduous trees, lots of Autumn leaves and berries and also a tree which is evergreen. We recorded what we'd found and worked with a partner. 

  

• Hunndertwasser Houses

  We have been looking at the work of Hunndertwasser and have started to create our own Happy Houses by printing using bright colours. Watch this space for our finished houses! 

  

• Using a compass

  This week we have been learning how to use a compass to find where north, east, south and west are. We learnt a special rhyme to help us remember the directions , Never Eat Slimy Worms. We labelled diagrams with the directions then used real compasses to find the different directions.
