Fairtrade Bake Sale
Wed 11 Mar 2020On behalf of Year 4, we would like to say a huge thank you to all who came and bought yummy goodies on Friday’s bake sale. This half term we have been learning all about Fairtrade and how it helps farmers and their communities all around the world.
Year 4 spent the morning creating a recipe and baking Fairtrade chocolate chip cookies. We would like to say a great big thank you to The Co-op who donated all of the Fairtrade ingredients.
Not only did we bake in school, the children did some amazing baking at home as well. We had cookies and cupcakes of all flavours and styles. They looked delicious! The bake sale was a huge success, we sold out of everything and made a grand total of £165. Thank you for your continued support in ‘living The Vine vision’.

Amazing Artists
Tue 03 Mar 2020In Year 1 we have been practicing colour mixing and printing. We used blue and yellow paint to make green then changed the shade by adding either more yellow to make it lighter or more blue to make it darker. We then used a range of different objects to create a beanstalk picture by printing. We made sure we were using the correct technique so we got an accurate shape of the object which we were using. Here are some of our finished pictures.
