Welcome to Year 3!
Teaching Team
Jasper Class – Ms Rodgers, Mrs Talmage and Mrs Bate
Turquoise Class – Mrs Richardson, Mrs Talmage and Mrs Dawson
We hope you are getting used to the new routines.
Here are a few reminders for you.
Accelerated Reader – Each child performed a ‘Star’ test at the start of term to gauge their level for AR. This is written on their bookmark – Please try not to lose these! AR log ins have been sent home. Your child may quiz at home and at school when time allows. Please encourage your child to tell us if they need a quiz resetting if they don’t pass it.
Red spelling / times tables books should ideally come to school each day but especially on Tuesdays and Fridays
Spelling tests – Tuesdays
Times Tables checker – Fridays (no longer times table mountain, nothing will be sent home)
For at times table home practice, check out these links to the BBC: Times Tables and MTC. We will be using MTC in class on Fridays to check times tables.
To practice at home: click on the MTC link, press play game, then click 'Adjust difficulty' where you can select which timetable you want to practice and the time between each question. Set the time to 10 seconds per question, 25 questions. We will be focusing on the 2s, 5s, 10s, 4s, and 8s times table this half-term, but you are welcome to practice beyond that.
