At the Vine Preschool, we welcome children from the local community of Cambourne. We are an inclusive preschool. The Vine school mission statement "All are welcome here" also applies to our preschool. 

Preschool Opening Hours

The Vine Preshool is open for the following sessions, Monday to Friday:

Morning sessions from 8.30-11.30am

Afternoon sessions from 11.30-2.45pm

Full 30-hour sessions from 8.30-2.45pm

To enable children to benefit fully from their sessions at Pre-school we encourage you to take as many sessions as possible and to do either all mornings, all afternoons or full days.

The Vine school is now offering wrap-around care for the Pre-school children in both Breakfast Club and After School Club with staff from the Early Years team working in both settings, allowing for continuity of care. If you would like to apply for wrap-around care then please do contact the team via email on: asc@thevine.cambs.sch.uk.

Preschool funding and payments

All children receive 15 hours of free funding from the government the term after their 3rd birthday and this funding is claimed directly by the school for you and can be split between different care settings if needed. Some families are entitled to additional funding, to total 30 hours. To access the 30 hours funding, families need to undertake an eligibility check directly through the government website and supply the code to preschool to access the funding.

It is also possible for you to self-pay for hours over and above your 15 hours if you are not eligible for the 30 hours funding. The table below illustrates the payments per week in each timing scenarios depending on their funding status:

Fees for sessions work out as £18 per session.
