Queens’ 90th Celebrations at the Vine School

Written by  on Monday, 13 June 2016.

Throughout this week the Vine has been celebrating the Queens? Birthday. In singing assembly, we learnt the National Anthem (God Save the Queen). In our year6 maths lesson, the focus was ?royal problem solving?. Also each child made a royal crown. On Friday morning, Mrs Higham led a Celebratory. The Queen was invited, but was a bit too busy and couldn?t make it. However, Sophie Stamp (year 5) shares her birthday with the Queen so she was made Queen for the day. Pupils were celebrated for their leadership qualities.

At lunch time, the whole school had a picnic on the playing field. Royal music played in the background, and the Vine Café made yummy crown shaped biscuits.

In the afternoon we had another assembly, then we all went outside (wearing our crowns) to proudly raise the Union Jack flag. It has been a really fun week. Happy birthday your Majesty from all at the Vine School!
